Foley sound is used to the auditory experience of a movie .It can also be used to cover any unwanted sounds that are caught during the set of a film , such as traffic or a plane going past .

Wild tracks is the running of dialogue or sound effects on the set of a film without the camera running . They are particularly used frequently in order to get a clean recording of any dialogue that is otherwise not able to be obtained because of any potential noise production machines or devices that are being used on set during filming .
